PARC NATIONAL DU FJORD-DU-SAGUENAY
A territory situated in the Townships of Saguenay, Dumas, Saint-Jean, Tadoussac, Albert, Labrosse, Hébert, Otis, Saint-Germain, Durocher and Champigny in the Regional County Municipalities of La Haute-Côte-Nord, Charlevoix-Est and Le Fjord-du-Saguenay, covering an area of two hundred and eighty-three and six-tenths square kilometres (283.6 km2) and whose perimeter may be described as follows:
1st perimeter
Starting from a point situated on the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay and the division line of lots 11-b and 12-b of Range VIII of the Township of Otis; thence, southwesterly, following the said division line; in a general southeasterly direction following the division line of lots 12-a and 12-b; northeasterly, following the division line of lots 12-b and 13-b; southeasterly, following the rear line of Range VIII to the intersection with the northwestern boundary of Block H; thence, northeasterly, southeasterly and southwesterly, following the northwestern, northeastern and southwestern boundaries of Block H to the intersection with the back line of Range VIII; thence, southeasterly, following the back line of Range VIII; southwesterly, following the division line of lots 19 and 20 of Range VIII; southeasterly, following the division line of Ranges VII and VIII; northeasterly, following the division line of lots 20 and 21 of Range VIII; southeasterly, following the back line of Range VIII; in a general northeasterly direction, following the northwestern boundary of Blocks E, D and C to the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay (anse à Simon); thence, in general southwesterly, northwesterly and southwesterly directions, following the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay to the starting point. Area: 4.0 km2.
2nd perimeter
Starting from a point situated on the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay (anse aux Érables) and the eastern boundary of Block A in the Township of Otis; thence, in a general southwesterly direction, following the southeastern boundary of Blocks A, B, C and D to a point whose coordinates are: 5,355,720 m N and 297,720 m E; thence, in northeasterly, southeasterly, northeasterly and southeasterly directions, following a broken line whose apex coordinates are: 5,355,950 m N and 300,120 m E, 5,354,850 m N and 303,250 m E, 5,355,350 m N and 306,320 m E, skirting the lake met there by the north shore, 5,354,890 m N and 306,760 m E, that point located on the shore at the northwestern end of lac Blanc; thence, in a general southeasterly direction, following the northeast shore of lac Blanc, the north shore of the effluent of lac Blanc, the north shore of lac du Gros-Ruisseau, the north shore of the effluent of lac Nord-Est and the north shore of the said lake to a point whose coordinates are: 5,354,290 m N and 310,000 m E; thence, northeasterly, southeasterly, southwesterly, southerly, northwesterly and southwesterly, following a broken line whose apex coordinates are: 5,354,720 m N and 311,900 m E skirting by the south shore the lake whose coordinates are: 5,354,600 m N and 311,300 m E, 5,352,850 m N and 315,250 m E, 5,352,050 m N and 313,000 m E, skirting lac Côté by the north shore, 5,351,420 m N and 313,000 m E, 5,351,500 m N and 312,000 m E skirting lac de la Fraye by the north shore, 5,347,150 m N and 311,500 m E, that point located on the back line of Range A of the Township of Hébert; thence, southeasterly, following the back line of said Range A; southwesterly, following the division line of lots 37 and 38 of Range A; in a general northeasterly direction, following the northwestern boundary of the right of way of the road that leads to baie Éternité; southwesterly, following the division line of lots 39 and 40 of Range A; in a general easterly direction, following the north bank of the rivière Éternité to a point situated on the extension of the division line of lots 41 and 42 of Range A; thence, southeasterly and southwesterly, following the said extension and the said division line over a distance of four hundred and twenty-four and one hundred and fifteen thousandths metres (424.115 m) from the south bank of the rivière Éternité; thence, southeasterly, following a straight line to a point situated on the division line of lots 42 and 43 of Range A and four hundred and sixty-three and twenty-nine thousandths metres (463.029 m) from the right bank of the rivière Éternité; thence, northeasterly and southeasterly, in accordance with the following azimuths and distances: 198º30′00″ — 65.91 m, 277º11′19″ — 261.61 m, 270º34′19″ — 263.51 m, that point located on the division line of lots 44 and 45 of Range A; thence, northeasterly, following the said division line and its extension to the intersection with the southeastern boundary of lot 40 of Range A; thence, in a general northeasterly direction, following the southeastern boundary of said lot 40 to the intersection with the back line of Range A; thence, southeasterly, following the rear line of Range A; southwesterly, following the southeastern boundary of lot 50 to the intersection with the northeastern boundary of Road 170; thence, in a general southeasterly direction, following the northeastern boundary of the right of way of Road 170 to the intersection with the left bank of the rivière Saint-Jean; thence, in a general southeasterly direction, following the left bank of the rivière Saint-Jean; northeasterly, following the northwestern boundary of Range I of the Township of Saint-Jean; southeasterly, following the northeastern boundary of lot B of Range I; northeasterly, following the northwestern boundary of lot C; northwesterly, northeasterly and southeasterly, following the southwestern, northwestern, and northeastern boundaries of lots I, J and K of Range I; in general northeasterly, northwesterly and southwesterly directions, following the normal high-water mark to the starting point. Area: 133.0 km2.

Starting from a point situated on the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay (anse Saint-Jean) and the northeastern boundary of lot 3 of Range VII of the Township of Saint-Jean; thence, southeasterly, following the said limit of lot 3 to its southeast end; thence, southeasterly, following a straight line to a point whose coordinates are: 5,343,470 m N and 334,000 m E; thence, southeasterly, following a straight line to a point situated at the intersection of the division line of the Townships of Saint-Jean and Dumas and lots 10-2 and 11-2 of the north range of the Township of Dumas; thence, northeasterly, following the division line of the Townships of Dumas and Saint-Jean to a point situated on the southwestern boundary of Block A; thence, in a general northwesterly direction, following the southwestern boundary of Block A to the intersection with the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay; thence, in a general northwesterly direction, following the normal high-water mark to the starting point. Area: 5.0 km2.

Starting from a point situated at the intersection of the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay (Cap de l’Est) and the division line of lots 11 and 12 of Range F of the Township of Saint-Germain; thence, northeasterly, following the said division line over a distance of eight hundred metres (800 m); thence, northeasterly, following a straight line to a point situated at the intersection of the division line of Ranges E and F and lots 19 and 20 of Range F; thence, in a general southeasterly direction, following the division line of Ranges E and F; southwesterly, following the division line of Ranges D and F; southeasterly, following the division line of lots 12 and 13 of Range D; southwesterly, following the division line of Ranges C and D to the intersection with the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay; thence, in general northwesterly and southwesterly directions, following the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay to the starting point. Area: 5.4 km2.

Starting from a point situated at the intersection of the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay and the division line of lots 8-a and 8-b of Range H of the Township of Saint-Germain; thence, in a general northeasterly direction, following the said division line of lots 8-a and 8-b; northwesterly, following the division line of lots 7-a and 8-a to the intersection with the northeastern boundary of the right of way of the road that passes southeast of the lac de la Mine; thence, northwesterly, following the said boundary of the right of way to the intersection with the division line of lots 6-a and 7-a; southeasterly, following the division line of lots 6-a and 6-c on the one hand and 7-a and 7-c on the other hand; northeasterly, following the division line of the Townships of Saint-Germain and Durocher; southeasterly, following the division line of Ranges I and II of the Township of Durocher skirting by the south shore the lac Travers and the Grand Lac and by the north shore the lac des Mûres; southeasterly, following the southwestern boundary of Block A; in a general northwesterly direction, following the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay to the starting point. Area: 7.3 km2.

Starting from a point situated on the normal high-water mark of the rivière Petit-Saguenay and the division line of lot B, Range II, Saguenay and lot 72 of the Township of Dumas; thence, in general northeasterly and easterly directions, following the southeastern and southern boundary of lots 72 and 73; southwesterly, following the division line of lots 15 and 16 of Range I, Saguenay, over a distance of one hundred metres (100 m); thence southeasterly, following a straight line to a point whose coordinates are: 5,343,790 m N and 342,860 m E, that point situated on the right bank of an intermittent stream; thence, in a general southeasterly direction, following the right bank of the said stream to the intersection with the division line of lots 19 and 20-2 of Range I, Saguenay; thence, northeasterly, following the said division line; in a general southeasterly direction, following the southwestern boundary of lots 73 and 74 to the intersection with the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay; thence, in general northeasterly, northwesterly and southeasterly directions, following the normal high-water mark of the rivière Saguenay and the rivière Petit-Saguenay to the starting point skirting lot 68 by the south. The south-half of lot 45, lots 46 to 51 inclusive, 52-1, 53-1, 54-1, 54-a-1, 54-b-1, 55-1, 56-2, 58-1, 58-2, 58-3, 67-1-8, 67-1-9, 67-2-1, 67-2-13, 67-3-9, 67-16, 93 to 100 inclusive, 716, 773, 774, 793, 794, 795 of the Village of Tadoussac, are included in the said territory.
The Islands bearing number 69 (île Saint-Louis) 80 to 86 inclusive of the Township of Dumas, 36 (île Saint-Barthélémy) and 37 (Petite Île) of the Township of Albert are also included.
The coordinates indicated in this technical description are expressed in metres and have been graphically traced from the M.T.M. squaring using a scale of 1:20,000 on the maps published by the ministère des Ressources naturelles of Québec.
